Berkeley Lodge Nursing Home is fully equipped for the care of post-operative; acute sick and chronic patients for long or short stay. The Matron has responsibility for the nursing care and for the qualified and very capable staff. Each patient has a specifically designed care plan and is monitored by their own general practitioner.
The Home is purpose built to allow for efficient nursing care. All patients will be provided with the utmost care and attention. Specific needs or requirements will be met wherever possible.
Most rooms are en-suite; all rooms have their own toilet and hand basin. Each room has an individual drug-dispensing cupboard and a nurse call system.
Catering is a particular focus of attention and every effort is made to provide cuisine to suite individual tastes.
Berkeley Lodge is situated near the centre of town in a quiet and peaceful road; a short distance from the sea. Access to the sheltered and well-stocked gardens is available to all residents. There is also a delightful sun lounge.
The Nursing Home Directors are actively involved in management of the home. In conjunction with the Matron and her staff; there is a pride in the individual care and attention provided to each patient.
