The Gainsborough Nursing Home

The Gainsborough is a newly opened nursing home primarily offering long and short-term care for the elderly. It is owned by The Hospital Management Trust. Founded in 1985; the Trust is a charitable organisation dedicated to maintaining the ethical values of independent hospitals and nursing homes while ensuring that they keep pace with modern medical practice and nursing care.

All rooms have en suite facilities. Some have French doors on to a balcony. Each room has been individually designed and elegantly furnished but patients are encouraged to bring with them; if they wish; their own items of furniture and other treasured possessions

The Trust regards its staff as its most valued asset and they are selected for their professional ability; their courtesy and their kindness. The Matron is a highly qualified nurse with many years’ experience of caring for the elderly. Under her guidance; The Gainsborough is pledged to give nursing care to the highest standards.

Agreement has been reached with the Elizabeth Finn Trust to relocate forty of their patients from Vicarage Gate House in Kensington to the Gainsborough for a period of approximately two years while they seek a new permanent home of their own.
