Jack Sears House Retirement Home

Jack Sears House was built in August 1991; providing accommodation for 25 frail elderly people. The home is situated in the middle of Paignton; close to the town centre shops; churches; post office; rail and bus stations and a number of health centres.

Each flatlet has full en-suite facilities; electric central heating; is fully carpeted and has tea-making facilities. Jack Sears House offers a lounge adjoining the main dining area; which leads to a small patio area; a dining room for private functions; two reading rooms and a laundry.

Our Philosophy is to encourage independence as far as possible for each person and to respect the privacy and rights of each resident whilst providing care and accommodation. Residents will be provided with assistants in all personal care aspects; including washing; dressing; laundry; preparation of food and other care services.
Care staff will ensure that any necessary assistance enables residents to attend church visit local libraries and shops and take part in the life of the surrounding community.
