AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
We will seek to ensure; that the
assistance required for daily living is
met in a flexible but planned way;
and will reflect the needs and wishes
of each of the people for whom we are
asked to care.

INDEPENDENCE
We will monitor each client’s abilities and needs in order to enable a reasonable balance between independence and risk taking. Where necessary advice will be sought; to ensure the appropriate aids and appliances are provided to assist each client to undertake tasks with the maximum independence.

SELF RESPECT AND DIGNITY
We will ensure that the wishes of the clients are central to decisions taken about their daily lives and that these decisions are made with them rather than for them. The views and needs of clients will be sought and included in every aspect of care planning. Changes in individual plans will be made in consultation with the client or chosen representative and will be encouraged to be active in any meeting that reviews care.
