Springfield Care Home

Springfield is situated on Havant Road (A259) in the picturesque coastal village of Emsworth. It is conveniently located to nearby amenities and transport links and only a short stroll from the seafront at Chichester Harbour, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

We pride ourselves in being a well regarded nursing and residential care home. Our accommodation is within two adjoining houses which have been comprehensively upgraded and refurbished over recent years to a very high standard.

Springfield is a private Care Home, registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection. It is staffed day and night by trained nurses, supported by an enthusiastic and friendly auxiliary team. Our staff are hand picked for their caring nature and professional skills.

Springfield is fully equipped to care for patients seeking long-term nursing or personal care, convalescence or respite.

Established since 1972, our main aim has been to make Springfield a home from home- so we make the care we offer as personal as we possibly can.

Our staff are specially chosen for their kindly attitude and we provide them with professional training to ensure that they have all the necessary skills.

Finding the right care home can be a difficult task. Whether you are looking for yourself or helping a friend or relative to make a choice, there are so many questions that need to be answered.

We want residents to feel very much at home with rules and regulations kept to a minimum. A full and active lifestyle is encouraged with freedom for residents to control their own daily routine wherever possible, to enable them to feel they have a purpose and enjoy their life. Residents are encouraged to continue their own hobbies and pastimes and participate in activity programmes, which are planned to fit various social and cultural traditions. We have weekly outing to beauty spots and lunch trips to country public houses. Springfield is also an important part of the local community and we endeavour to take an active part in local events.

Although companionship and help is on hand, the friendly and homely atmosphere we have created at Springfield ensures that everyone is treated as an individual with dignity and respect, which their age and experience of life deserve. We have no restrictions on visiting.

Residents can maintain their own GP’s provided that their surgery is within five miles of Springfield. Domiciliary visits by dentists and opticians can be arranged.

Facilities

We provide care to people (male and female) aged 65+. A qualified nurse is available at all times providing 24 hr care supported by a dedicated team of Health Care Assistants.

Springfield is in fact two adjoining houses. Both have comfortable and generous lounge & dining areas, and each has a secluded south facing garden.

All of our rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished, mostly with en-suite facilities. Naturally, residents are very welcome to bring their own furniture and possessions should they so wish. There is a television and telephone point in each room.

Assisted bathing facilities are available. Regular physiotherapy and chiropody sessions are included within the fee.

In-house laundry facilities are provided. Name tags are provided for personal clothing.

There are regular resident and relative meetings which give the the opportunity for service users to express their views about the operation of the Home. Relatives are invited periodically to meet with staff and their relative to review residents’ care.
